First Watch reports 64 new restaurant openings in 2025

First Watch Restaurant Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: FWRG) reported opening 64 new restaurants across 23 states during fiscal year 2025, according to preliminary operational metrics released by the company.
The breakfast, brunch and lunch chain posted same-restaurant sales growth of 3.6% for the full year and 3.1% for the fourth quarter ended December 28, 2025. Same-restaurant traffic increased 0.5% for the year but declined 1.9% in the fourth quarter.
During the fourth quarter, First Watch opened 13 new locations, consisting of 12 company-owned restaurants and one franchise location. For the full year, the company opened 55 company-owned restaurants and nine franchise locations while closing three restaurants.
As of December 28, 2025, First Watch operated 633 system-wide restaurants, including 560 company-owned locations and 73 franchise restaurants across 32 states.
"Among our team's 2025 achievements were a record 64 new system-wide restaurant openings across 23 states as well as posting same restaurant sales growth of +3.6% and positive same restaurant traffic growth," said Chris Tomasso, First Watch CEO and President.
The company's same-restaurant metrics are based on 381 restaurants that have been open for 18 months or longer as of the beginning of the fiscal year. Same-restaurant sales growth excludes gift card breakage revenue.
