Curis Inc. (NASDAQ: CRIS) reported a second-quarter net loss of $8.6 million, or $0.68 per share, compared to a loss of $11.8 million, or $2.03 per share, in the same period last year. The biotechnology company posted revenues of $2.7 million for the quarter, up from $2.5 million in the prior year period.

The company continues enrollment in its TakeAim Lymphoma study for relapsed/refractory Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma patients. The study is now enrolling patients to support registration following discussions with the EMA and FDA. Emavusertib has received orphan drug designation from both agencies for PCNSL treatment.

Curis announced plans to add a proof-of-concept clinical study of emavusertib combined with a BTK inhibitor for 20-30 patients with relapsed/refractory Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. The company expects to begin enrollment later this year.

The company completed enrollment in its TakeAim Leukemia Phase 1/2 study of emavusertib as monotherapy in patients with relapsed/refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia or Myelodysplastic Syndrome. Data from an ongoing triplet study evaluating emavusertib, venetoclax, and azacitidine in frontline AML is expected at the 67th ASH Annual Meeting in December.

Research and development expenses decreased to $7.5 million from $10.3 million in the prior year quarter, primarily due to lower employee-related, research, consulting, and clinical costs. General and administrative expenses fell to $3.5 million from $4.8 million.

As of June 30, 2025, Curis held $10.1 million in cash and cash equivalents. The company completed a registered direct offering and concurrent private placement, raising $6.0 million in net proceeds in July 2025, extending its cash runway to the first quarter of 2026.
