BioLife Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: BLFS) reported preliminary fourth quarter revenue from continuing operations of $24.8 million, representing a 20% increase from $20.7 million in the prior year period, according to a company statement.
The cell processing tools developer also announced preliminary full year 2025 revenue from continuing operations of $96.2 million, up 29% from $74.6 million in 2024. This figure exceeded the high end of the company's previously raised guidance range of $95.0 million to $96.0 million.
The fourth quarter revenue figure excludes approximately $1.3 million in biopreservation media revenue that was initially scheduled for shipment in the fourth quarter but was accelerated into the third quarter at a customer's request.
"We closed out the year strong with 20% growth in fourth quarter revenue from continuing operations," said Roderick de Greef, BioLife's Chairman and CEO. "For the year, revenue from continuing operations increased 29% on a like-for-like basis compared with 2024, largely driven by growth in our biopreservation product line."
The revenue figures reflect continuing operations only, following BioLife's divestiture of its evo product line in October 2025. The company had previously divested Global Cooling Inc., SciSafe Inc. and Custom Biogenic Systems in 2024.
BioLife plans to provide 2026 financial guidance when reporting complete 2025 results in February. The preliminary results are unaudited and subject to completion of financial closing procedures.
The company develops cell processing tools and services for the cell and gene therapy market, supplying solutions for the collection, development, manufacturing and distribution of biologic materials.
