NHL's Islanders Said Considering Move from Brooklyn to Queens

The NHL's New York Islanders hockey team are said to be mulling a move from Brooklyn to Queens, according to Bloomberg.

UPDATE - Reports have the Islanders in talks with owners of the New York Mets about building a hockey arena adjacent to Citi Field in Queens.

The team Islanders currently play in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Fans have been complaining about the quality of ice and views at the arena, according to sources. The team just finished its first season there.

Value Retail Plc founder Scott Malkin and Jonathan Ledecky are owners of the Islanders.

It wasn't made clear how far talks, if any, are along in the process, or whether the team is considering a move after just one season at Barclays Center.
