Cypress Semi (CY) Shares Up on Cramer Recommendation

Cypress Semiconductor (NASDAQ: CY) are explosivo after Jim Cramer interviewed the companies CEO Jim Rodgers yesterday. The stock switched listings from NYSE to NASDAQ yesterday as well, and has lost 13% since Cramer put it on his top mobile Internet picks list back in August.
Yesterday also saw CY with more activity and up about 2.9% at midday. The stock closed up 1.2% on 8 million in volume, about 4x the usual days volume. The stock is up 3.3% to $9.37 mid-morning.
The company recently announced that its touchscreen business has accelerated for both cell phones and laptop computers.
Cramer also mentioned opportunities in vending machines, hotel locks, and more for Cypress. Rodgers talked about a potential spin-off of Cypress Envirosystems, which has provided the company over $1 million in negative non-GAAP gross margins that have fluctuated over the past several quarters.
