Oct. S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index Down 0.62% to 140.30
S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for the month of October comes in at 140.30, which compares to a reading of 142.04 in September. The index fell 0.62% on a month-over-month basis and 3.4% from the same month last year. Economists had been expecting a 0.4 percent decline from September and a 3.2 percent decline from last year.
