Transocean (RIG) Tops Q3 EPS by 19c

Transocean (NYSE: RIG) reported Q3 EPS of $0.87, $0.19 better than the analyst estimate of $0.68. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.61 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.59 billion.

• Fleet revenue efficiency⁽²⁾ was 95.0 percent, compared with 97.2 percent in the second quarter of 2015;
• Fleet utilization⁽³⁾ was 70 percent, down from 75 percent in the prior quarter; and
• Contract backlog was $16.9 billion as of the October 26, 2015, Fleet Status Report.
