Standpoint Research downgraded Avon Products (NYSE: AVP) from Buy to Hold.

Analyst, Ronnie Moas, said, "The shares have now hit the 2012-2013 price target we set in November and are + 34% and + 2185 bps versus the S&P-500 for us...Coty believes that its proposed price is a full and fair one, based on public information about Avon, and it is prepared to consider increasing its price if Avon can demonstrate through diligence that there is greater value. I have not yet decided whether to recommend cashing out or holding out and hope a higher price is settled on...The shares look fairly valued here at $24 and 15X, but are still well below the 2008 high of $45 and the $35 level that AVP hit several times in 2009-2010."
