Capstone Investments' John Putnam downgraded shares of Alere (NYSE: ALR) heading into Wednesday's afternoon session following an earlier SEC filing which disclosed the company has begun its recall of some 104 lots of its Triage products. The analyst now rates the stock a Hold, down from Buy previously. A $32 price target was maintained.
Alere shares are down more than 3 percent to $18.13 at last check.
