Trump Media files amended registration for Bitcoin ETF
Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. (NASDAQ: DJT) filed an amended registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the Truth Social Bitcoin ETF, according to a company announcement. The exchange-traded fund will hold bitcoin directly and aims to track Bitcoin's price performance.
Crypto.com will serve as the ETF's bitcoin custodian, prime execution agent and liquidity provider. Yorkville America Digital acts as the sponsor of the fund.
The ETF launch depends on the registration statement becoming effective and approval of a Form 19b-4 filing with the SEC. Once launched, shares will be listed on NYSE Arca.
Trump Media operates the Truth Social platform, Truth+ streaming service, and the Truth.Fi financial services brand. The company stated the information in a press release.
The registration statement has been filed but has not yet become effective. No shares may be sold until the registration statement becomes effective, according to the company's disclosure.
