Mega Matrix shifts treasury strategy to diversified stablecoin basket
Mega Matrix Inc. (NYSE American: MPU) announced it will transition its Digital Asset Treasury strategy from holding a single asset to a diversified portfolio of stablecoins and governance tokens.
The Singapore-based company said it will move away from its previous focus on Ethena's governance token (ENA) to implement what it calls a "dual-engine" model. The new approach involves holding stablecoins for stable yield generation through decentralized finance strategies while allocating funds to governance tokens of stablecoin protocols for growth potential.
The strategy will include multiple ecosystems: USDe/USDtb with ENA tokens, USDS/DAI with SKY tokens, USDH with HYPE tokens, USDF with Aster tokens, and USST with STBL tokens.
"Stablecoins have become a core asset class in global digital finance, with U.S. Treasury officials projecting the market could reach $2 trillion by 2028," said Songtao Jia, Chief Strategy Officer of MPU.
Mega Matrix operates through its subsidiary structure, including FlexTV, a short-video streaming platform and producer of short dramas through Yuder Pte, Ltd., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary.
The company stated this positions it as one of the first U.S.-listed firms to anchor its treasury on a diversified stablecoin ecosystem within what it describes as a transparent and compliant framework.
Information is based on a press release statement from the company.
