Moody's Investor Services has placed the local and foreign current government bond ratings on Greece on review for a potential downgrade. The agency currently has these ratings at Ba1.
As recently as December 3rd, S&P also said it may downgrade Greece's sovereign rating.
Despite the news, shares of the NYSE-traded National Bank of Greece (NYSE: NBG) are up 1.7% to $1.85 today.
