July 9, 2025 11:44 AM EDT

TotalEnergies (NYSE: TTE) has become a member of PJM Interconnection, allowing the company's U.S. trading arm to conduct physical and financial product transactions in the wholesale electricity market. The PJM grid serves 65 million end-users across the northeastern and mid-Atlantic United States.

The membership enables TotalEnergies to access PJM's market tools and data through its Houston-based power trading hub. PJM operates across 13 states and provides real-time and day-ahead energy markets.

TotalEnergies has invested nearly $11 billion in the U.S. over the past three years in oil, LNG, and low-carbon electricity development. The company produced over 10 million tons of output in 2024 and operates as an exporter of U.S. liquefied natural gas with upstream gas production assets in Texas and offshore U.S. locations.

The company has 10 GW of onshore utility-scale solar, wind and battery storage capacity installed and under construction in the U.S. In March 2025, S&P Global Ratings assigned an 'A+' issuer credit rating to TotalEnergies Holdings USA with a stable outlook.

TotalEnergies operates in approximately 120 countries and employs more than 100,000 people globally. The company produces and markets oil and biofuels, natural gas, biogas, low-carbon hydrogen, renewables and electricity.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
