TopBuild completes $810 million Progressive Roofing acquisition

TopBuild Corp. (NYSE: BLD) completed its acquisition of Progressive Roofing in an all-cash transaction valued at $810 million, the company announced. Progressive Roofing was previously owned by Bow River Capital.

The acquired company, founded in 1978, operates as a commercial roofing installation services provider in the United States. Progressive Roofing offers re-roofing, recurring maintenance services, and new construction services across education, technology, industrial, healthcare and government sectors.

Progressive Roofing generated $438 million in revenue and $89 million in EBITDA for the trailing 12 months ended March 31, 2025. The company derives approximately 70% of its revenue from re-roofing and maintenance services, while 30% comes from new construction projects.

Based in Phoenix, Progressive Roofing employs more than 1,700 people across 12 branches. The acquisition establishes TopBuild's presence in the commercial roofing services sector.

"We are excited to establish a new platform for organic and M&A growth in the large and highly complementary commercial roofing services sector," said Robert Buck, President and Chief Executive Officer of TopBuild, according to the company's press release statement.

TopBuild, headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, operates as an installer of insulation and commercial roofing services. The company also functions as a specialty distributor of insulation and building material products to the construction industry in the United States and Canada through more than 200 installation branches and over 150 specialty distribution branches.
