PubMatic launches AI-powered publisher monetization platform

September 16, 2025 8:03 AM EDT

PubMatic (NASDAQ: PUBM) launched an artificial intelligence-powered monetization platform designed to help publishers control their yield, data and demand access. The platform combines automated revenue optimization, first-party data monetization and direct access to media budgets.

The company said the platform uses a large language model informed by insights from 842 billion daily ad transactions, enabling natural language interactions for programmatic advertising actions. The system features modular AI architecture that separates business logic from optimization models.

The platform includes three components: PubMatic Assistant for deal management setup, Connect for first-party data monetization, and transparent omnichannel demand access. The Assistant allows publishers to use natural language requests to configure deal parameters, while Connect helps publishers monetize first-party data through AI-enhanced integrations.

"The myth of the passive publisher is over," said Rajeev Goel, co-founder and CEO of PubMatic. "Media owners must embrace innovation now more than ever. Publishers are the true value creators of the open internet and our new AI platform helps publishers gain transparency and insights to attract advertisers."

The platform is available to PubMatic's network of nearly 2,000 publishers across connected television, mobile, display and other formats. According to eMarketer data cited by the company, digital advertising revenue is expected to reach $770 billion in 2025, representing 12% annual growth.

A+E Global Media, Seven and Infoplaza provided testimonials supporting the platform's capabilities, according to the company's announcement.
