Patterson-UTI board member resigns after senate confirmation

Patterson-UTI Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEN) announced that Leslie Beyer has resigned from the company's board of directors following her confirmation by the U.S. Senate as Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Beyer joined Patterson-UTI's board in September 2023. Her resignation takes effect as a result of her new government position, according to the company's statement.

"Leslie is a trusted voice in our industry," said Andy Hendricks, Patterson-UTI's president and chief executive officer. "Throughout Leslie's career, she has helped to shape policy to move our industry forward while supporting the hundreds of thousands of men and women in the energy workforce."

The Houston-based company provides drilling and completion services to oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the United States and other countries. Patterson-UTI offers contract drilling services, integrated well completion services, directional drilling services, and specialized drill bit solutions across multiple regions including the Middle East.

The information was disclosed in a company press release.
