Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced the availability of Oracle Database@Google Cloud in Canada, expanding the multicloud database service to Montreal and Toronto Google Cloud regions.
The service enables Canadian customers to run Oracle Exadata Database Service, Oracle Autonomous AI Database, and Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure within Google Cloud regions. The expansion addresses data residency requirements for regulated industries by keeping data within Canadian borders.
Oracle Database@Google Cloud allows integration with Google Cloud's analytics and AI services, including BigQuery, Vertex AI platform, and Gemini models. The service supports migration of Oracle workloads and application modernization using Google Cloud services.
"As more organizations in Canada embrace multicloud architectures, Oracle Database@Google Cloud provides the industry-leading reliability and performance that is required," said Vijay Bangaru, vice president of Multicloud at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
The company introduced a reseller program enabling Oracle and Google Cloud partners to offer the service through Google Cloud Marketplace. Partners can leverage existing Google Cloud commitments and integrate the service into their solutions. The program requires membership in both Google Cloud Partner Advantage and Oracle PartnerNetwork programs.
Available services include Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure, Oracle Autonomous AI Database, Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse, Oracle AI Database 26ai, and Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service.
The Toronto region addition brings the total available Google Cloud regions to 12, with plans to expand to 10 additional regions within 12 months across Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Americas.
