Odysight.ai Inc. (NASDAQ: ODYS) completed a proof-of-concept project testing its AI-powered predictive maintenance technology on mining trucks with an international automotive manufacturer.
The company installed its visual sensing system on an 8x4 heavy-duty mine truck chassis at an active mining site in South America. The system monitored for cracks, hydraulic oil leaks and mechanical anomalies over several months of continuous operation.
The technology captured and analyzed real-time visual data to detect structural and mechanical problems in the harsh mining environment. Odysight.ai stated the system demonstrated high-accuracy detection capabilities that could help reduce unplanned downtime and improve safety for mining fleets.
"This achievement marks an important step in Odysight.ai's expansion into the heavy-duty vehicle and industrial sectors," said CEO Yehu Ofer. "We are excited to advance into the next phase of evaluation together with the major international automotive OEM."
The proof-of-concept represents Odysight.ai's expansion beyond its existing work in aerospace and Industry 4.0 applications. The company has previously deployed its technology in projects with NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense.
Odysight.ai combines miniature visual sensors with AI analytics to provide monitoring solutions for critical systems across aviation, transportation, energy and industrial sectors. The company is incorporated in Nevada with European and Israeli subsidiaries.
