MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: MWE) (MarkWest) announced today the closing of its previously announced public offering of 9,775,000 common units at $46.50 per common unit, which includes 1,275,000 common units purchased pursuant to the full exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional common units. MarkWest intends to use the net proceeds from the offering, after deducting underwriting discounts, commissions and offering expenses, of approximately $437.2 million to fund its capital expenditure program, for general working capital and for other general partnership purposes.
Citigroup, BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley, UBS Investment Bank, Wells Fargo Securities, J.P. Morgan and RBC Capital Markets are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.
