Lazard appoints Jensen to lead Denmark operations

Lazard Inc. (NYSE: LAZ) appointed Jesper Jensen as Managing Director, Financial Advisory and CEO of Denmark, effective September 17. The appointment marks the establishment of Lazard's new office in Denmark as part of its Nordic operations expansion.
Jensen brings more than 25 years of experience to the role and will work alongside Gustaf Slettengren and Victor Kastensson, who are based in Sweden, according to the company's announcement.
"Jesper's appointment reflects our determination to grow and to better address clients' needs in the Nordic region as well as our confidence in Denmark," said Jean-Louis Girodolle, Co-Head of European Investment Banking.
Jensen joins Lazard from Rothschild & Co and previously worked at JP Morgan in London. He holds an M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School.
"I'm excited to join Lazard to further expand and develop the firm's activity in the Nordic region and across Europe," Jensen stated in the press release.
Lazard, founded in 1848, operates across North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, providing financial advisory and asset management services.
