Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) announced a new approach to SAP transformations that incorporates artificial intelligence to help customers migrate from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA systems. The technology services provider said its Clean Field approach uses agentic AI through a collaboration with Nova Intelligence to customize and remediate SAP software code during migration processes.
The approach focuses on creating what the company describes as a clean core migration of data, processes and systems while implementing a modular system architecture. Kyndryl said the method aims to reduce technical debt and manual effort during SAP upgrades.
"Enterprises can no longer afford SAP transformations that are slow, rigid or weighed down by legacy complexity," said Michael Bradshaw, Global Practice Leader for Applications, Data and AI at Kyndryl. "By combining our Clean Field approach and deep SAP expertise with agentic AI, we're giving customers a faster, more disciplined path to SAP S/4HANA."
The company outlined its work with several SAP solutions, including SAP Business Data Cloud for harmonizing SAP and non-SAP data, SAP Cloud ERP for transformation journeys, SAP Signavio for process optimization, and SAP LeanIX for transformation planning and governance.
Kyndryl and SAP maintain a strategic alliance, with Kyndryl recognized as a global RISE with SAP delivery partner. The company provides IT infrastructure services to customers in more than 60 countries.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
