Iveda (NASDAQ: IVDA) announced the opening of its European operations center in Madrid, establishing its first European hub alongside existing offices in the U.S., Taiwan, Philippines, and Egypt. The AI-driven video surveillance and smart city technology company said the expansion responds to growing regional demand for government-grade AI solutions.
The Madrid office, operating as Iveda Spain, positions the company to serve European infrastructure partners and government stakeholders. José Ramón will serve as President of Iveda Spain. The company stated its team is engaged on multiple public and private opportunities with European systems integrators and managed service providers.
"Establishing Iveda Spain represents one of the most important milestones in our company's history," said David Ly, CEO and founder of Iveda. "Europe is a critical market for the future of smart cities, and Madrid gives us a powerful launchpad to serve the entire region."
Iveda cited market research indicating Europe's smart city market could reach approximately half a trillion dollars by 2032. The company noted that recent EU measures have increased scrutiny on certain Chinese software providers, creating opportunities for compliant alternatives.
The company's solutions carry TAA and NDAA compliance certifications from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under the SAFETY Act DT&E Designation, along with General Data Protection Regulation compliance for EU standards.
Iveda Spain will focus on introducing the company's IvedaAI platform and other solutions for municipalities, enterprises, and critical infrastructure across Europe, with emphasis on smart city, public safety, and logistics applications. The company recently completed trademark registration in both the European Union and United Kingdom.
