Innoviz Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: INVZ) announced the launch of its InnovizThree LiDAR sensor on December 23. The company stated the new sensor features smaller dimensions and lower power consumption compared to its predecessor, the InnovizTwo.

The InnovizThree weighs 600 grams and can be installed behind windshields, on rooftops, or in front grilles of vehicles. The company reported the sensor costs over 35% less than the InnovizTwo while maintaining detection ranges beyond 250 meters. It operates in a low-power mode at 13 watts.

According to Innoviz, the sensor's compact size makes it suitable for applications including humanoids, micro robotics, and drones beyond automotive use. The device is designed for behind-the-windshield installation without generating cabin noise.

"InnovizThree is our answer to the automotive industry's most pressing challenge: delivering high-performance LiDAR that is both economically viable and scalable," said Omer Keilaf, CEO and Founder of Innoviz Technologies.

The company will demonstrate the InnovizThree at the Consumer Electronics Show 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6-9 at booth #7318. This will mark the first live demonstration of the product.

Innoviz Technologies operates as a Tier-1 supplier of LiDAR sensor platforms and software for automotive manufacturers. The Tel Aviv-based company serves markets in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
