Graphjet Technology (NASDAQ: GTI) received a written notice from NASDAQ on September 2, 2025, regarding its failure to meet minimum market capitalization requirements for continued listing on The NASDAQ Global Market.
The company did not regain compliance with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450(b)(2)(A), which requires maintaining a minimum market value of publicly held shares of $50 million for 30 consecutive trading days by the September 1, 2025 deadline. NASDAQ indicated it will consider this deficiency when deciding on the company's continued listing status.
The notice does not immediately affect Graphjet's listing, and shares continue trading under the symbol "GTI" on The NASDAQ Global Market. NASDAQ has requested the company present its views regarding the notice in writing by September 9, 2025.
Graphjet previously agreed to provide NASDAQ with an update on its fundraising plans by September 30, 2025.
The Malaysia-based company, founded in 2019, produces graphene and artificial graphite from palm kernel shells, a waste product from palm oil production. The company states it holds patented technology for this recycling process.
