Garmin launches GPSMAP 9000xsv marine chartplotter series

Garmin Ltd. (NYSE: GRMN) announced the release of its GPSMAP 9000xsv series chartplotters, available in 10-, 13- and 17-inch touchscreen displays for marine navigation and fishing applications.

The new series features 4K resolution on the 13- and 17-inch models, along with Mini LED backlight technology. The displays include built-in xCHIRP traditional sonar and UHD scanning sonar capabilities, designed for fish detection and underwater imaging.

The chartplotters offer 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity for software and map updates through Garmin's ActiveCaptain app. The devices come preloaded with Garmin Navionics+ charts and Auto Guidance+ technology, with options to upgrade to Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts.

"We're excited to bring the premium features of the GPSMAP 9000 chartplotter series to even more display sizes," said Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President Consumer Sales & Marketing.

Additional features include sailing-specific tools through SailAssist functionality, OneHelm integrated digital switching for boat operations control, and compatibility with Garmin's BlueNet network for connecting multiple marine electronics devices.

The GPSMAP 9000xsv chartplotters are expected to be available in November with suggested retail prices starting at $3,199.99. The units can be mounted either flat or flush-mounted at the boat's helm.

Garmin reported being named Manufacturer of the Year by the National Marine Electronics Association for the 11th consecutive year. The company states it is the world's largest marine electronics manufacturer based on 2024 sales revenues.
