Consensus Cloud Solutions announces CFO transition

Consensus Cloud Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: CCSI) announced that Chief Financial Officer James Malone will step down from his position effective April 1, 2026, and will continue with the company as a strategic advisor.

The company's board of directors appointed Adam Varon, 61, as the new chief financial officer effective the same date. Varon currently serves as senior vice president of finance, a role he has held since October 2021.

Varon previously worked as senior vice president of finance at J2 Global Inc., the company's former parent, for over nine years. Before that, he spent 18 years in the entertainment industry at Capitol Records, Universal Music Group, and News Corp. He began his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from California State University, Northridge.

The board also appointed Karel Krulich, 50, as chief accounting officer effective April 1, 2026. Krulich currently serves as senior vice president of strategic accounting operations, a position he has held since January 2025. He joined the company in August 2022 as vice president and corporate controller.

Prior to joining Consensus Cloud Solutions, Krulich worked as corporate controller at biotechnology company Mission Bio Inc. from 2020 to 2022 and led SEC reporting at Twist Bioscience Corp. from 2019 to 2020. He began his career at Ernst & Young, where he worked from 2000 to 2019. Krulich holds an MBA from Prague University of Economics and Business.

The leadership changes were announced February 9, 2026, according to a company statement.
