Charter stockholders approve Cox Communications transaction

Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) announced that its stockholders approved the proposals necessary to complete its previously announced transaction with Cox Communications, Inc. at a special meeting held Thursday morning.
More than 99% of the votes cast favored each of the proposals required to complete the transaction, according to a company statement.
Charter expects to complete the transaction with Cox in mid-2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
The Stamford, Connecticut-based company operates as a broadband connectivity company and cable operator, providing services to more than 57 million homes and businesses in 41 states through its Spectrum brand.
