Boeing (NYSE: BA) launched a unified ecommerce website that consolidates its distribution business products and services into a single digital platform. The company announced the milestone on November 17 as part of its ongoing modernization and integration efforts.
The new platform combines products and services previously available separately through Boeing Distribution and Boeing Distribution Services websites. Boeing Distribution was formerly known as Aviall.
The website features AI-powered search functionality, real-time inventory visibility, order management capabilities, and mobile-friendly design. Customers can access Boeing's full product catalog for commercial, business and general aviation, vertical lift and defense sectors through a single login.
"We want to simplify distribution services, maximize customer performance and be the preferred choice for customers and suppliers in the global distribution marketplace," said William Ampofo, senior vice president of Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain at Boeing Global Services.
Over the past year, Boeing Distribution implemented enhanced Aircraft on Ground access for faster response times, improved customer support processes, and a new enterprise resource planning system to unify data and improve service efficiency.
Travis Sullivan, Boeing Distribution vice president and general manager, said the company plans continued integration efforts focused on innovation, operational excellence and supplier collaboration.
The platform is accessible at shop.boeing.com/distribution. Boeing develops, manufactures and services aerospace products for customers in more than 150 countries and describes itself as a leading global aerospace company and top U.S. exporter.
