Arteris reaches 4 billion chip deployment milestone

February 12, 2026 4:16 PM EST

Arteris Inc. (NASDAQ: AIP) announced its network-on-chip technology has shipped in more than 4 billion devices, according to a company statement. The semiconductor technology provider reported the milestone reflects increased adoption in AI-enabled systems.

The Campbell, California-based company said recent growth has been driven by rising compute density, energy efficiency requirements, chiplet integration, and system complexity demands in AI applications. Production deployment volumes continue to increase across all segments, driving growth in the company's variable royalty revenue stream beyond its historical average annual growth rate of approximately 20 percent.

"Reaching more than 4 billion deployed chips and chiplets is not just a volume milestone, but a reflection of how essential data movement has become to modern system design," said K. Charles Janac, president and CEO of Arteris.

Rich Wawrzyniak, principal analyst at the SHD Group, noted that while overall system-on-chip shipments reach tens of billions annually, high-end, complex SoCs used in advanced compute, automotive, and AI data-intensive applications number in the low billions range. He said Arteris pioneered network-on-chip IP as the first company to commercialize NoC solutions.

The company's technology has been deployed across various sectors, from automotive systems to consumer devices, with particular growth in AI-enabled systems requiring advanced data movement capabilities.
