Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) announced organizational changes effective immediately, according to a company press release.
Mark Mummert will serve as chief operations officer, overseeing resources, manufacturing, capital and supply chain operations while continuing to report to Chairman and CEO Kent Masters. His responsibilities include managing joint ventures and global manufacturing operations. Netha Johnson is leaving the company as part of the restructuring.
Autumn Gagarinas becomes chief people and workplace transformation officer, focusing on talent, culture and business process optimization. Gagarinas previously served as vice president of human resources for over two years.
Melissa Anderson will continue as chief business transformation officer, leading enterprise strategy, growth initiatives and research and technology functions.
"Our enhanced structure is intended to make us more agile and competitive as we navigate an increasingly dynamic market," Masters said in the announcement. "With better functional alignment, we can maximize our world-class resources and manufacturing for operational excellence, focus our strategy on growth and customers, and combine people with technology to fully leverage our workforce's deep expertise."
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company describes itself as a global provider of lithium and bromine for mobility, energy, connectivity and health applications.
