Gold Rally Continues on Strongest Run Since 2007 (IAU) (GLD)

Gold stocks are active as the precious metal moves continues one of its strongest runs in several years.

Reuters noted Tuesday that gold rose over 1 percent on the session to a 4.5 month high amid speculation that further stimulus from the European Central Bank could cause a rush into the safe haven.

February gold contracts were up as much as $20 to $1,288 per ounce in intraday trading. Price gains are up 7.3 percent over the last seven sessions, which would be the strongest run for gold over that time period since September 2007.
