XPO, Inc. (NYSE: XPO) announced that Brad Jacobs will step down as Executive Chairman effective December 31, 2025. Jacobs will transition to a Special Advisor role through June 30, 2026.
Mario Harik will assume the Chairman position while continuing as CEO, a role he has held since 2022. The leadership transition represents a continuation of the company's current strategic direction under Harik's management.
Jacobs led XPO since 2011 and hired Harik as one of his first employees at the company. Harik previously served in multiple roles including Chief Information Officer, Chief Customer Officer, and President of LTL before becoming CEO.
"Leading XPO since 2011 has been one of the greatest privileges of my career," Jacobs said. "Mario was one of my very first hires at XPO, and he's done an exceptional job in every role he's had, including Chief Information Officer, Chief Customer Officer, President of LTL, and most consequentially as CEO."
XPO operates as a less-than-truckload freight transportation company in North America, moving 17 billion pounds of freight annually. The company serves 55,000 customers through 605 locations with 38,000 employees in North America and Europe.
