UberDoc Health Technologies appoints John Dvor to board
UBERDOC Health Technologies (CSE: APPT) (FSE: 4KL0) announced the appointment of John Dvor to its board of directors. The Boston-based company operates a direct-pay specialty care marketplace connecting patients with physicians.
Dvor brings experience in medical innovation and healthcare technology. His background includes roles with C10 Labs, an AI venture studio, and executive leadership at SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII). He co-founded Tufts Health Ventures and served in the U.S. Marine Corps, including time at the White House Military Office. He graduated from Harvard University.
"I was an avid early supporter of Dr. Paula Muto and UberDoc," Dvor stated. "I'm honored to serve as Director as the company scales direct patient-to-physician appointments and adds innovative protocols and products to better serve members."
UberDoc was founded by Dr. Paula Muto, a practicing surgeon. The platform enables patients to book appointments with board-certified specialists without referrals, prior authorizations, or insurance restrictions. Patients can search, book, and pay for appointments directly through the web-based platform.
The company currently includes more than 5,000 board-certified specialists across all 50 states. UberDoc is expanding beyond specialty physician appointments to include partnerships in advanced diagnostics, longevity protocols, pharmacogenetics, therapeutics, imaging, and surgical services.
"UberDoc is positioned at the leading edge of the direct-pay marketplace, connecting patients to doctors for specialty care and services outside of insurance," said Dr. Muto, founder and CEO. "The mission goes beyond accessing affordable care. It is about restoring the doctor-patient relationship in a modern, elegant way by eliminating the middleman."
The information is based on a company press release statement.
