TrueBlue adds two new independent directors to board

December 2, 2025 11:59 AM EST

TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI) announced the appointment of William Greenblatt and William Seward as independent directors to its board, effective January 5, 2026. The board approved the appointments on December 1, 2025, following an extensive search process conducted with an independent recruitment firm and shareholder input.

Greenblatt founded Sterling Infosystems Inc. in 1975 and served as chief executive officer and chairman, building the company into a background-screening services provider. Goldman Sachs' Merchant Banking Division acquired a majority interest in Sterling in 2015. Greenblatt currently serves as chair and co-founder of Montague Street Capital LLC, providing capital and strategic expertise to small and mid-sized businesses in the business services sector.

Seward brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in logistics, supply chain, and global operations. He currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Vestis Corporation, a $2.2 billion provider of uniforms and workplace supplies. Previously, he spent over three decades at United Parcel Service Inc., holding senior leadership roles including president of UPS Supply Chain Solutions and president of the Americas Region.

Two existing TrueBlue directors are expected to step down from the board at or before the 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Following the annual meeting, the board is expected to consist of nine directors, eight of whom will be independent.

Richard Pzena, founder and managing principal of Pzena Investment Management, TrueBlue's largest shareholder, stated his approval of the appointments. The company indicated these changes reflect its commitment to evolving board composition to strengthen operational oversight and incorporate shareholder feedback.

Barclays is serving as financial advisor to TrueBlue, and Sidley Austin LLP is serving as legal counsel.
