Stem appoints CEO Arun Narayanan to board of directors

Stem Inc. (NYSE: STEM) announced that its board of directors has expanded from seven to eight members and appointed Chief Executive Officer Arun Narayanan as a Class I Director, effective December 1, 2025.
The energy technology company's board increased its size to accommodate Narayanan's appointment. Narayanan joined Stem as CEO in January 2025 and has led the company's strategic transformation toward software-focused clean energy technology.
Under Narayanan's leadership, the company has achieved positive adjusted EBITDA and accelerated software revenue growth while focusing on its PowerTrack software platform, according to the press release.
"Arun has demonstrated exceptional leadership in positioning Stem for long-term success," said David Buzby, Chairman of the Board. "His appointment to the Board strengthens the connection between management and the Board as we continue to execute on our strategic priorities."
Narayanan stated he was honored to join the board during what he called a pivotal moment in the company's evolution. He noted that the company's strategy is delivering results and expressed commitment to working with the board on future opportunities.
Stem operates as a clean energy technology company that provides software and services for energy asset management. The company's PowerTrack software suite monitors energy assets and is supported by professional and managed services. Stem reports managing global projects in 55 countries and serving customers for nearly 20 years in the clean energy sector.
