July 22, 2025 8:50 AM EDT

Sidus Space (NASDAQ: SIDU) announced the appointment of Tiffany Norwood to its board of directors. Norwood brings more than 35 years of experience in launching technologies across space, telecommunications, digital media, and fintech sectors.

At age 27, Norwood assisted in raising nearly $700 million for WorldSpace, an early satellite company that built a global digital radio platform and contributed to what became XM Radio. WorldSpace deployed three satellites and developed MP3/MP4 technologies and solar-powered receivers.

Norwood has led nine startups with multiple exits and worked in more than 50 countries. She currently serves as founder and CEO of Tribetan, an education technology platform, and co-founder of SimWin Sports and Elfkare, companies focused on AI-powered digital sports leagues and healthcare applications respectively.

"Tiffany's track record of raising large-scale capital and launching transformative technologies makes her an invaluable addition to our Board," said Carol Craig, founder and CEO of Sidus Space.

Norwood was named Cornell University's 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year, becoming the first African American woman to receive the award in its nearly 40-year history. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Cornell University, an MBA from Harvard University, and is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering at Cornell.

Sidus Space operates as a space and defense technology company offering satellite manufacturing, AI-driven space-based data solutions, and mission planning services. The company is headquartered on Florida's Space Coast and operates a 35,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.
