SAIC appoints David Urban to board of directors

Science Applications International Corp. (NASDAQ: SAIC) announced that David Urban has been appointed to its board of directors, effective September 15. The appointment increases SAIC's board from eleven to twelve members.
Urban previously served as a senior advisor to President Trump and works as a political strategist. He currently holds positions as Managing Director at the BGR Group, Of Counsel at Torridon Law, and Senior Political Commentator for CNN.
Urban has advised companies including Lockheed Martin, Zoom, Comcast, ByteDance, Coinbase, and 7-Eleven. He previously served as Chief of Staff to Senator Arlen Specter and as an officer in the U.S. Army.
"His deep understanding of the federal government's mission will be invaluable as the company continues to innovate, drive growth and seize future opportunities," said Donna Morea, SAIC Board Chair.
Urban will serve on the board's Audit Committee. He currently serves on the boards of several organizations including Virtu Financial, Eos Energy, and Subcom. He also serves as chairman of the American Battle Monuments Commission and as a trustee at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Urban graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University.
SAIC is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Reston, Virginia, with approximately 24,000 employees and annual revenues of approximately $7.5 billion. The company provides technology solutions across defense, space, civilian, and intelligence markets.
