S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) today announced Ian P. Livingston (Lord Livingston of Parkhead) has been elected as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective May 7, 2025. Ian Livingston will succeed Richard E. Thornburgh, who has served as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board since October 2020 and will retire when his current term expires in May 2025.

Ian Livingston has been a member of the S&P Global Board of Directors since 2020. Previously, he was CEO of BT Group plc, the UK telecommunications provider and Minister for Trade and Investment in the UK Government. He is also a Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Finance Committee of National Grid plc, one of the world's largest publicly listed utilities, and a Non-Executive Chair of the Business Growth Fund, a major investor in growth businesses in the UK and Ireland. He was previously Chairman of Currys plc and Man Group plc. He has also been Chief Financial Officer of BT Group plc and Dixons Group plc.

Gay Huey Evans and Robert P. Kelly will also retire from the Board and not stand for reelection at the 2025 Annual Meeting, along with Douglas L. Peterson, as previously announced in June 2024.
