Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) announced the appointment of three independent directors to its board as part of a multi-year board refreshment strategy. Aaron Rivers, Stephen Timm and Lorin Cassidy Wolfe joined the board, while Sandra Froman, Christopher Killoy and Rebecca Halstead retired from their positions.
The appointments follow previous additions including Todd Seyfert as President and CEO effective March 1, 2025, and Bruce Pettet as an independent director effective June 19, 2025. Following the annual meeting, the board will comprise nine directors, with eight being independent and five having joined within the past year.
Rivers currently serves as CEO of Dakkota Integrated Systems, a $1.2 billion automotive supplier. He brings 25 years of global leadership experience across automotive, aerospace and mobility systems sectors.
Timm brings over 30 years of senior executive experience and previously served as President of Collins Aerospace, a $28 billion aerospace and defense company with approximately 83,000 employees worldwide.
Wolfe was recently appointed Vice President, Business System at Johnson Controls and has over 20 years of experience leading engineered product companies. She previously worked as a Partner for a private equity firm and held senior executive roles at Danaher.
The board engaged a nationally recognized executive search firm to identify director candidates with senior executive leadership experience to support the company's strategic priorities. Board leadership remains unchanged with John Cosentino as Chairman, Phil Widman as Vice Chairman, and Amir Rosenthal as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
The firearm manufacturer stated that Ronald Whitaker does not plan to stand for reelection at the company's 2026 annual meeting, according to the press release statement.
