Riverside Resources Inc. (TSXV: RRI) (OTCQB: RVSDF) has appointed Marco Strub as an independent director, effective immediately, according to a press release. The appointment follows the company's annual general meeting held June 4, 2026.
Strub is the principal of Sircon AG, a consulting and investment research company based in Zurich, Switzerland. He previously served as a partner at Exulta AG, a portfolio management company, from 1997 to 2003. He currently serves as an independent director of Triumph Gold Corp. and Canada Zinc Metals Corp., and has held board positions at several other public mining companies. He holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
"His deep background in investment research, portfolio management, and capital markets, combined with his extensive experience serving on the boards of public mining companies, brings valuable perspective," said John-Mark Staude, CEO of Riverside Resources.
James Ladner did not stand for re-election and departed the board. The company said Ladner will continue to provide input on an informal basis.
At the annual general meeting, 6,365,550 shares were voted, representing 6.81% of the 93,443,464 issued and outstanding shares. Shareholders re-elected four incumbent directors and elected Strub as the fifth director, each receiving approximately 99.88% of votes cast. Shareholders also approved the reappointment of Davidson & Company LLP as auditors and re-approved the company's stock option plan.
