Reliance Global Group appoints Blake Janover as crypto advisory chairman
Reliance Global Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: RELI) appointed Blake Janover as Chairman of its Crypto Advisory Board, the company announced. Janover will advise on the company's Digital Asset Treasury initiative and blockchain-related strategies.
Janover previously founded Janover, which went public in 2023 under ticker NASDAQ: JNVR before transitioning into Defi Development Corporation. He currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer and Board Member at Defi Development Corporation, which the company describes as the first publicly traded company to announce a Digital Asset Transformation strategy outside of Bitcoin on the Nasdaq or NYSE.
The appointee also serves on the Crypto Advisory Board of Caliber Cos, a Nasdaq-listed company. Janover has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and has been involved in billions of dollars of commercial property transactions and more than half a billion dollars of equity capital markets transactions, according to the press release.
"Blake's appointment comes at a strategically important moment following a significant consolidation across the crypto markets," said Ezra Beyman, Chairman and CEO of Reliance Global Group.
In his new role, Janover will help explore opportunities to tokenize insurance-linked assets, which the company states could introduce greater liquidity and efficiency in the insurance-linked marketplace.
Reliance Global Group operates as an InsurTech company using artificial intelligence and cloud-based technologies in the insurance agency and brokerage industry. The company operates business-to-business platform RELI Exchange and consumer platform 5minuteinsure.com, along with retail insurance agencies.
