Rain Enhancement Technologies adds Steelcase CFO to board

Rain Enhancement Technologies Holdco, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAIN) announced David Sylvester, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Steelcase Inc., has joined the company's board of directors.
Sylvester serves as CFO at Steelcase, where he oversees international business operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific regions, along with global real estate, facilities and security functions. He has been with Steelcase for over two decades and is the longest-serving CFO in the company's 110-year history.
At Steelcase, Sylvester played a role in the company's transition to public trading in 1998 and its recent merger with HNI Corporation in 2025. His experience spans operations in 50 countries, including acquisitions, divestitures and management of global business centers.
Before becoming CFO, Sylvester held positions including Vice President of Global Operations Finance and Finance Leader for Steelcase International based in France. He previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for seven years. Sylvester holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA in finance from Michigan State University.
The appointment expands Rain Enhancement Technologies' board to seven members. The company develops ionization precipitation generation technology and reports its technology generated an average of 16% additional precipitation in third-party trials.

Rain Enhancement Technologies focuses on weather modification technology aimed at addressing water scarcity issues. The company is also developing applications for fog mitigation and snow enhancement beyond rainfall generation.
