Radian Group names Seraina Macia to board of directors

Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN) appointed Seraina Macia to its board of directors, the company announced. Macia brings more than 35 years of insurance industry experience to the Wayne, Pennsylvania-based specialty insurer.

Macia previously held senior leadership positions including executive vice president of AIG and chief executive officer of its technology subsidiary Blackboard Insurance. She also served as executive vice president and CEO of AIG's Europe, Middle East and Africa operations and as president of specialties at Zurich Insurance North America.

The 57-year-old executive currently works as a senior advisor to Warburg Pincus's Financial Services Group, focusing on property and casualty insurance. She founded and led Joyn Insurance and held executive roles at XL North America, Zurich Insurance and Swiss Re. Macia holds an MBA from Monash University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

"As an industry leader with decades of highly differentiated global insurance experience, Seraina will bring a valuable perspective to Radian's Board as the company enters an exciting new era as a global multi-line specialty insurer," said Howard B. Culang, Radian's non-executive board chairman.

Separately, board member Gregory Serio announced his intention to retire when his term concludes in May 2026. Serio has served on Radian's board since 2012.
