Qualigen Therapeutics appoints new executives and board members

Qualigen Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: QLGN) announced multiple leadership changes effective October 2025, according to a company statement.

Jerry Wang was appointed as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Koti Meka as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 2, 2025. Wang previously served as Global President and founding team member at Faraday Future, participating in raising over $3 billion in funding and leading the company's 2021 initial public offering. Meka currently serves as CFO of Faraday Future and previously worked at Ford Motor Company from 2002 to 2016 in various finance roles.

The company expanded its Board of Directors with three new appointments: Kevin Chen as Independent Director on September 26, 2025, and Chad Chen and Jay Sheng as Directors. Jay Sheng was named Chairman of the Audit Committee, while various committee assignments were distributed among the new board members.

Kevin Chen serves as Chief Economist and Chief Investment Officer of Horizon Financial and holds board positions at several NASDAQ-listed companies including CurrenC Group, Australian Oilseeds Investments, and Scage Future, plus Capitan Investment Ltd. on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Jay Sheng currently serves on Faraday Future's board and as Head of Operations & Finance Director of FF Global Partners LLC. Chad Chen is a partner at law firm Yoka | Smith, LLP and also serves on Faraday Future's board.

Three board members resigned in connection with a recent private placement that closed September 29, 2025. Cody Price and Robert Lim resigned from the Board, while Campbell Becher resigned as Director but continues as Company President.

The company also changed auditors, with the Audit Committee approving Macias Gini & O'Connell LLP as the new independent registered public accounting firm on October 3, 2025. WhitumSmith+Brown, PC resigned as auditor effective October 1, 2025.

The leadership changes follow a recent private placement financing completed in September 2025.
