QIAGEN (NYSE: QGEN) announced that Mark Stevenson will join its Supervisory Board as an independent member on January 23, 2026, and will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting in June 2026.
The appointment follows the departure of Prof. Dr. Ross Levine from the Supervisory Board on the same date. Levine stepped down after accepting a position as Chief Scientific Officer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He will continue to serve as Chair of QIAGEN's Scientific Advisory Board.
Stevenson brings over 30 years of experience in life science technology companies. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Previously, he held senior leadership positions as President and Chief Operating Officer at Life Technologies and Applied Biosystems. He currently serves as an Operating Partner at Fivespan Partners and sits on the board of directors of Ingersoll Rand.
Stephen H. Rusckowski, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, stated that Stevenson's operational leadership and global life sciences experience will strengthen the board's oversight capabilities and support capital allocation decisions.
Following these changes, the Supervisory Board maintains eight members: Stephen H. Rusckowski as Chairman, Dr. Metin Colpan, Dr. Toralf Haag, Bert van Meurs, Eva van Pelt, Dr. Eva Pisa, Mark Stevenson and Elizabeth E. Tallett.
The company said Levine served on the Supervisory Board for approximately one decade, contributing scientific leadership and clinical perspectives to the organization.
QIAGEN is a Netherlands-based holding company that provides molecular testing and analysis solutions to customers in life sciences and molecular diagnostics markets worldwide.
