PureTech Health plc (NASDAQ: PRTC, LSE: PRTC) announced that Raju Kucherlapati has stepped down from his role as chairman and member of the board of directors. Kucherlapati served on the board for nearly two decades.

Sharon Barber-Lui, who currently chairs the company's audit committee, has been appointed as interim chair of the board. Barber-Lui will lead the process to identify a new permanent chair and will engage with shareholders to gather input on the selection criteria.

During Kucherlapati's tenure, PureTech developed from a startup into an established biotherapeutics company. The company has advanced 29 therapeutics and therapeutic candidates, including three approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. One recent FDA approval was Cobenfy, and the company has launched founded entities including Seaport Therapeutics.

PureTech is a clinical-stage biotherapeutics company focused on developing treatments for various diseases. The company operates through both internal development and founded entities that advance different therapeutic programs.

The information was disclosed in a company press release.
