PolyPid names Brooke Story as board chairman

PolyPid Ltd. (NASDAQ: PYPD) appointed Brooke Story as chairman of the board of directors, effective December 11, 2025, according to a press release statement.

Story brings over 25 years of experience in the medical technology industry, having held senior roles at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) and Medtronic PLC. She previously served as worldwide president of BD's surgery business, overseeing global strategy and profit-and-loss responsibility for portfolios in hernia repair, tissue repair and infection prevention.

Story currently serves as BD's separation and integration lead, managing the life sciences divestiture and ongoing global integrations. She also serves as a non-executive director on the board of LivaNova PLC.

The appointment comes as PolyPid prepares to submit a new drug application for D-PLEX₁₀₀, its lead product candidate for preventing abdominal colorectal surgical site infections, expected in early 2026.

PolyPid is a late-stage biopharma company that develops controlled-release therapeutics using its proprietary PLEX technology. The company reported positive phase 3 results for D-PLEX₁₀₀ and maintains a pipeline in oncology, obesity and diabetes.

Story holds a bachelor of science in engineering from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
