Kilroy Realty names new board chair, adds two directors

Kilroy Realty Corporation (NYSE: KRC) announced leadership changes to its board of directors effective February 24, 2026, including the appointment of Gary Stevenson as board chair and two new independent directors.

Stevenson, who has served on Kilroy's board since 2014, succeeds Edward Brennan as chair. Brennan had served on the board since 2003 and as chair since 2024. Stevenson brings over four decades of executive leadership experience, including roles as Deputy Commissioner of Major League Soccer and President of Soccer United Marketing for the past 13 years.

The company appointed two new independent directors: Cia Buckley Marakovits, President and Chief Investment Officer at Dune Real Estate Partners, and David Kieske, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at VICI Properties Inc. Marakovits will serve on the Nominating/Corporate Governance Committee, while Kieske will join the Audit Committee.

The board expanded from seven to nine directors with these additions. Brennan was formally appointed as chair of the Audit Committee, and Jolie Hunt, a board member since 2015, became chair of the Executive Compensation Committee.

The company announced committee restructuring as part of governance changes. The Nominating/Corporate Governance Committee will assume oversight of environmental sustainability initiatives, while the Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Committee will be disbanded. The Executive Compensation Committee will oversee human capital management initiatives.

Peter Stoneberg will not seek re-election at the company's 2026 annual meeting and will retire from the board upon completion of his current term, ending more than 12 years of service.
