Jack in the Box Inc. (NASDAQ: JACK) shareholders re-elected all 10 board nominees at the company's 2026 annual meeting, according to preliminary vote counts from the independent inspector of elections. Shareholders also approved each of the company's proposals.
The board appointed Mark King as independent chairman effective February 27, 2026. King succeeds David Goebel, who will not seek re-election at next year's annual meeting.
"On behalf of the full Board, we thank our shareholders for their thoughtful feedback and perspectives as we engaged with them leading up to the Annual Meeting," King said in a statement. "Our Board and leadership team are fully focused on improving our financial performance through the execution of our 'JACK on Track' plan."
The San Diego-based restaurant company operates and franchises approximately 2,125 Jack in the Box restaurants across 22 states. The preliminary results will be finalized and certified by the independent inspector of elections, with final results to be reported in a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
