November 3, 2025 2:00 AM EST

Guardian Metal Resources plc (LON:GMET)(OTCQB: GMTLF) announced the appointment of Michael X. Schlumpberger as a non-executive director, subject to completion of the required AIM due diligence process.

Schlumpberger brings 40 years of mining industry experience, including 20 years at PotashCorp, where he held senior operational roles in mine development, maintenance, downstream operations, and ESG compliance. He previously served as managing director and chief executive officer at ASX-listed American Pacific Borates Ltd. He currently acts as non-executive director for Rapid Critical Metals and as president of mining consultancy Schlumpberger Inc.

The appointment follows the retirement of Mick Billing, who will step down from his role as non-executive director after four years with the company. Guardian Metal focuses on tungsten exploration and development in Nevada.

Executive Chairman J.T. Starzecki stated that Schlumpberger's experience in mining operations and management would guide the company as it advances its Pilot Mountain and Tempiute projects.

Guardian Metal received $6.2 million from the U.S. Department of War in July 2025 under the Defense Production Act to support advancement of the Pilot Mountain tungsten project. The company has announced plans to pursue a U.S. listing in the first half of 2026.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
